Linenspot, previously known as Rentakit, embarked on a mission to provide high-quality linen rental and laundry services for small hotels and hostels, filling a crucial gap in the market. Founders Ervin and Mauro had a strong business idea that quickly gained traction, but as growth accelerated in 2021, they found themselves feeling increasingly confused, often with "hands in their heads," grappling with how to manage it all. Their reliance on manual, spreadsheet-based systems for stock, orders, and delivery schedules was proving inefficient, prone to frustrating errors, and a significant bottleneck. This lack of flexibility in their "linen package" model and their undigitized sales processes were actively hindering their ability to scale, prompting their collaboration with us to build a robust, digitized platform for their future.

DISCOVERY

Product Discovery & Prototyping

  • Crafting a Sustainable Business Model

    We tackled the unclear pricing head-on, creating and rigorously testing pricing prototypes directly with customers. Through iterative feedback, we refined the model until it was clear, viable, and set Linenspot.net on a sustainable path forward.

  • Crafting an Intuitive User Journey

    User interviews quickly revealed the "linen package" model was too rigid. This discovery fueled 16 Figma prototypes, shifting towards a flexible system. Remarkably, a customer's own spreadsheet became a key inspiration, leading to an intuitive design that truly met user needs.

  • Confirming Market Resonance

    To ensure genuine market buy-in, we designed and facilitated five interactive concept tests. Real users explored the new service concept, giving us invaluable reactions and confirming their understanding, validating our direction and sparking excitement for the proposed solution.
